I've decided to make mod of my phone. I cut front panel from an old adapter CPU from socket “Slot1” to socket “370”, and then I cut a hole for the screen and buttons. I fix panel on the phone and get a phone real electronics engineer.

And then I looked at corner of room. There are a lot of broken motherboard and other hardware in the corner. I decided to create something big of them.
    I began to make case.

I took a few motherboards “Gigabyte” identical in color. I deleted unnecessary details from motherboards. So, I was two sides of the future case.

I fix them with help guides on the bottom of the case. Bottom is a cover used of the old tape recorder. I was so engrossed that I forgot to photograph the process.

There are two standard PSU 350W on the ground floor.

There is hard disk front of PSUs. It is cooled incoming air

Hard disk fastened to the case with help shock absorbing sleeve, taken from a faulty CD-ROM.

Second floor is occupied DWD-RW drive “Pioneer” and two fans on both sides.

Fans cool the motherboard below and above airflow.

There is decorative panel with crystal “NVIDIA” on front side between fans. A lot of friends asked me to make a backlight. I made two green LEDs (power) and one blue LED (work HDD).

Third floor: motherboard microATX and CPU Athlon 64/ 5200+.

I made cover from broken motherboard.

Attic is occupied videocard Gigabyte 9600GT with passive cooling, which was transferred to active. CPU fan was replaced on bigger fan (120x120) and was deployed in the direction of blowing air upwards.

The general trend of cooling: air comes from the bottom (front panel). Hot air goes through top cover. There are also a button "Turbo", which switches all the fans from 5 volts to 12, and start button (I hope that with the protection of children) on the case.

So, I created case for computer from old broken hardware. It is named “cube” for its shape, and “Giga” in honor of the company “Gigabyte”, which know all our repairers firms.

When I make it, I felt myself creator, but not custom.

Computer components which usually located inside a computer had become available for inquisitive children. This case can be categorized as “green”, because it is constructed from non-working parts of computer.

I wish you all a successful modding!

That's one unique case mod, I'm impressed. It certainly looks different and very good! The phone is pretty awesome.

Can I just ask? What's with the two power supplies?

I hadn't bought one powerful power supply, but I used two usual power supply 350W, which were unclaimed by me.
May be you interest how its work?

I took two PSU 350Watt, took off covers. I joined together green wires. Then I joined together black wires. Then I joined together wires on 220V. Now PSUs begin to turn on at the same time. One PSU only works on 4PIN videocard. Other PSU works on other devices.
