Having jsut completely thrown my toys out of my cot when asked for a deadline estimate on a new project. I answered "With or without 2 more staff than I currently have?". The answer I got was "With current resources". To which I honestly replied "Not in the next year".
The argument that ensued was not prett, and pretty much ended with me saying that unless structure and methodologies as well as expectations change drastically, I shall be looking for alternate employment. That didn't go down very well.

Thanks but I'm fine compared to some people I saw/heard there.

I was sitting in a room yesterday and I think the docs forgot the door was open. I could hear some of what they were saying and for a moment it seemed like they were going to give me bad news. For a moment I was expecting my problem to be a tumor pressing against a vein and causing 'clot-like' symptoms.

Thankfully they confirmed it was 'just' a clot and that medication would get rid of it. I'm going back today to see some specialists to evaluate the doze of medication I'll need. I will also have a list of things I can't do and can't eat. I should be under anti coagulants for about 6 months.

Considering I'm a fat guy that suffers from eczema, I see this diet and lack of coagulation as a big challenge and an opportunity to get rid of nasty habits that have been making my life much harder the past 10 years.

CSS, there is nothing else, only CSS right now. I have to update it on this machine, the update has rendered my hardcopy close to useless, thanks!

Waiting close to 2 months for a medical examination which is likely to turn my life upside-down. Worse is having it postponed by another week :(

Woke up with a terrible bloody nose. Going to likely need new sheets and pillow case+pillow. Mattress is stained a little as well but should be okay. Certainly not what I expect as I drifted off to sleep last night.

Ouch, is this a regular occurance? Sounds like you should be paying the doctor a visit...

One thing that's currently pis*ing me off right now are drivers that can't be bothered to use their indicators when changing lanes. Up here in Edinburgh (and the surrounding area), it seems about 2/3rd's can't be bothered. What the F**K?! :duh:

That's my only really qualm with the place, beautiful otherwise. :)

If you get a lot of nose bleeds you might want to have the doctor cauterize the inside of your nose... I had it done a while back and to be honest, it didn't to a bit of help to me, but some people swear it helped them.:sigh:

Which bit of your nose bled? That can generally give you an idea of the cause and how serious it might be. If it's from the tip of your nose it's the blood vessels, I get these ones as soon as the central heating comes on in the autumn. If I forget to put a bowl of water on my radiator, I'll wake up with a nosebleed. More annoying than anything else.

If it comes from far back then it could point to something more serious and may be linked to blood pressure or something like that. If it's one of these I'd definitely make a Drs appointment to get it checked out.

No idea on which bit, I was in a huge rush after getting everything cleaned off and the bleeding stopped, I get up just in time for work as is. Can't find any clear markings now, though it's a good four hours later. I almost never get nose bleeds, no real clue on what the visible difference is.

Are your nose bleeds caused by the dry air, then? My room's always pretty low humidity, and the heat did just kick on last night due to a freak cold night following a warm week. If it doesn't happen again I'll assume it's that. Certainly going to ask the doc about my blood pressure next I see him regardless, more than a little worrying. :worried:
