I mean paint the frame of the wheels but not the wheels themselves if you know what I mean.

Yeah I know what you mean, the bit that holds it altogether. I looked at the wheel kits that you can buy for PC's but the way fix on to the bottom of the case wouldn't work on this one. good idea though.

Well thats phase one almost complete. .All the stuff for the cabling should be here tomorrow the PSU should be soon after I hope. Then I can start on the inside. At least I know exactly what I want to do inside the case, so that should be pretty straight forward.
Who am I trying to fool...lol:duh:

    I'm going in...lol

Just a little teaser of what I'm up to...Who said split loom had to go around cables...

Full update at the week end when the PSU arrives...And maybe, just maybe the never ending grill saga will get settled:wallbash:

@ Bill..Cheers mate, just thought I'd try something a bit different seems to be working so far. Except for the front grill...lol

Looking forward to the long week end now should be able to get it to the stage where it's about 80% finished

Cables, grills and lighting it up

Right then been busy again today...

    1'st up some hardware

Inside the big red box will be the following:

    Intel i7 940

XFX GeForce 9800 GX2 Black Edition

    Asus P6TD Delexe.

    Thermaltake Tough power XT 775

Fans..4 Alaska 120mm in red and 3 Zalman 92 mm in red.

Ram and cooling still to be sorted out, but thats basically what will make this thing tick.

Next, inside the case been doing a few more little mods to tidy things up..
made up some mesh panels to go across the drive bays to tidy thing up and a top piece to keep the cables under control.

The fan controller has also been fitted into the case, backwards, to hide it out of the way.

next in the list was getting all the fans in. Then come the bit i hate. Sorting out the cables. I'll probably change it all about a bit, but this is what I've done so far.

A lot of the cable have been covered with chrome spit loom and the rest have been done in chrome braid. Rather than hide the cables away, I've left a lot of them on display so it gives it a bit of a robotic look.....

Next, it's time to light it all up...wooohooo!!!

So thats where it is for the moment....About 80% done now I'd say.. Still needs tidying up, but that'll be done when it goes together properly.

Thanks for looking in comments and opinions welcome as usual:D

That mirrored bottom certainly does a job of reflecting the internal lights Jeff, your kit wouldn't look out of place on a Dr Who set (Compliment intended there :thumb:).

    It's look the dogs b*llocks fella!!! :D

Fortunately I'm about half way there with my cabling, waiting on a delivery Wednesday then I can crack on with the rest and start work on the plumbing :)

Try imageshack.us mate, I haven't seen any "bandwidth exceeded" messages from them before but loads on photobucket.
