I'm gonna have to get my parents to do the review - I've moved away since the competition. Can you wait with baited breath until I'm home for Christmas?
Oh my god these are so SHINY! Mine just turned up now. I got a silver/white fan, which is handy, because my new case is a Lian Li V1000+ Silver - see what I did there? Thanks very much
Mine arrived this morning, I got a silver one too. Just fitted it into the side of my case (looks like I'm gonna have to a bit of cleaning in there on the weekend, the dust is starting to build up inside - I need to get some filters I think). It's nice and quiet, although the LED's don't seem to want to light up. Build quality of the fan itself is great and the rubber grommet fan mounts are a nice touch.
got mine today I got a silver one and it is really cool but can I swap it with someone for a red one as silver doesn't really go well with my PC theme thanks again Nitrix
Received mine a few minutes ago, a 12cm silver fan just had chance to hook it up to a spare psu. I have to say I am impressed, I was expecting it to be a lot more tacky in its appearance, I am not one for bling, but this really does look fantastic. I have no idea if it was running full speed as it has that little temp probe to control its speed (might have to mod that off ) but it was very quiet and pushed a good amount of air. I would say they are as quiet, or maybe louder but a more subtle tone than my silent eagles and they blow more than a wheezing mouse. @Blademrk - did you make sure the little switch was pressed it to turn on the LEDs? That little LED switch would be great for a mod, just extend the splice the switches onto the case somewhere and you can turn and and off all your LEDs, much like the front fan on HAFs. Thanks for the great giveaway Nitrix, Aquatuning and Enermax. Oh and thanks for the reading material, that will sure come in handy.
Ah that sucks then. The white looks pretty awesome in my Fractal R3 (with the side off), its a shame I don't have a window...yet! I have pushed the little LED switch through the back as well so have some options. The auto control is odd, it always sit at ~750rpm no matter how many volts I give it, until I go down to about 3 and it turns off. I am trying to put the sensor somewhere to get it super hot, I think its 50c when it runs at the full speed, or you can cut the sensor off and solder/twist both cables together. EDIT: My LEDs aren't working now, I changed it to the front of my case and then I turned it on they wouldn't light up, pressing the button does nothing. Ah well, can't complain as I didn't pay a penny for it. Edit Number 2: I gave the fan a stern look, and now the LEDs work!
Recieved mine today silver 12cm im sure i can find a nice spot for it with a catalog from aquatuning and koolance and a phobya sticker! now im going to plug it in and gaze Edit: Turned it on and nearly jizzed my pants this thing is ****ing sexy dude oh geeze
Wow, they really are like they are in the photos! The amount of times I've seen an LED fan with uber epic awesome LEDs, only to be heartbroken when I get it But YAY! These works.. *fingers crossed for a 120mm one*
I received my fan today (silver 120mm). Unfortunately I could not get the grommets to fit through the holes, but the fan is very quiet compared to the rest of my system so I'm not too fussed. The LED's are seriously beautiful, there's a kind of liquid metal effect with the fan spinning. Overall very pleased, sorry for the somewhat naff post.
