News Portal 2 delayed

I dont mind delays from Valve as it always pays off.

 

Looks like they're trialing episodic delays.

 

Yeah, I know we waited so long for it (over 3 years!), but this Episode 3 is just GREAT!

and for the Dreamcast don't forget

 

I believe the latest (?) Silent Hill game, Shattered Memories, was released only for PS2 and Wii in early 2010.

 

As if anyone really believes it's really going to be released in April.. lol.

"Hey, how come Portal 2 hasn't unlocked yet?"

I still haven't played Ep 2 yet but i've just now noticed that I own it, I don't know how long its been in my STEAM list. I don't remember buying it, did Valve give it away free?

 

Wait you haven't played Epsiode 2 yet? Good God man! Somebody get this guy some free time STAT! I was looking forward to playing this the day after the ol' bday but I have no problem waiting a couple months. Valve has NEVER disappointed me before. I love you Gabe.

 

I just appreciate that someone out there still has a sense of humor.

 

Big deal, they moved it clear of DNF and Crysis 2. I'm buying it retail so not really bothered, but it's a good reminder to reload and get past level 14 of the first game.

[EDIT] on the sense of humour front the Recommended For You Ad Banner cartoon in the Steam Library page is very funny.

 

You know what? i've come to expect two things; either a) the game comes out on time and is buggy as hell (a la New vagas) or b) the game is delayed.

What ever happened to games coming out on time and working?

 

Maybe because high-profile games are in such massive demand, the developers set dates too early in the dev cycle which they sometimes find they can't keep later on. That, or they stick to the original date and rush the last bits - playtesting and bug fixes.

 

Nice to see they have a sense of humour . Pity the game will be delayed, but 2 months is not so long really.

 

Valve, I am not interested in Portal, give me HL2 EP3 instead...

December 21 2012 is the date that Valve time and real time converge. On that date Episode 3 will release in a paradox along with HL3.

 

Then Valve unleash their internet cannon and fire LOLz at us?

 

I don't know how they could make Episode 3 good with the dated engine that is HL2... maybe that's what is taking them so long to make it. I guess this whole episode thing never worked out huh...
