Sorry if this has been done before, but I wonder if it's worth switching to the new kid on the block? I think the features offered by IE are great, but I've also noticed a bit of a slowdown lately. What do you reckon? I've no doubt Firefox is worth a look too.
I havnt used IE for years... lol Firefox or Chrome. I actually tend to bounce between both. But I have noticed that on my atom laptop that chrome seems to work faster than firefox.
unless your seriously strapped for hard drive space or something then have them all. i find myself using chrome 90% of the time.
Personally, anything but IE unless I need to, getting some past papers from uni only work on IE . my main browser is chrome tho
FF, Opera, IE, Safari That's what I use most of the time, in that order, dependant on where I am and what machine I am using.
I have them all. IE is still boggy, Opera I just can't get used to, FF has a lot of great features but just seems slow and bulky, Chrome is my favourite although it does lack the features of others. Where Chrome lacks something I switch to FF.
Chrome, especially if you have an android phone. I use chrome on all 3 of my machines, The syncing of bookmarks between the 3 is invaluable for me as is the chrome to phones extension. As with other's comments I only use IE for a few select things, my IP cams that use direct X, and Dell premier pages at work when the reports don't work with Chrome.
Ive always used IE, it performs fine. Plenty fast enough, easy to use, works all the time. I sure you could all list me features that are better on other browsers, but the reason i have not tried other ones, is because.......I havnt needed to!
Chrome TBH. I used to recommend FF to friends and family but Chrome is faster, easier to use, and updated more often.
Used to be FF, had a go with chrome Am now opera through and through But tbh, in the end, anything as long as it isn't IE
Firefox, until chrome has all of it's developer API's released so all of my firefox addons get ported over.... I really don't like how open Chrome's privacy settings are either, and there isn't any way I've found to lock them down other than using the private browser
i use ie9 beta at mo, works well as for chrome being more secure, i doubt it, they all have their own flaws
My vote goes to chrome. At some point in time I was using the regular release of chrome, the beta release of chrome, and now I'm using the nightly chrome release. It's got one of the best start up new tab screens I've ever seen, one which firefox can't replicate quite as well (although speeddial is pretty close), and it's app market has been upgraded to offer some really good apps and themes now. Chrome's main feature with me is that it's blazing fast. I used to use the firefox regular release, but now I use the nightly release of firefox in addition to chrome. FF is also fast, and it's good for those couple times when my chrome won't display something correctly (yes there's still some sites that aren't quite compatible with chrome yet). Other than that I don't use firefox very much, but it's still a great browser, and if your main is chrome it provides an excellent backup. IE9 beta is pretty neglected on my computer. The reason being that it fails to perform as well as either of the two browsers I have. I don't like the interface, and I don't like the surfing speed I get. IE is only there for those couple of old old web pages that only work with IE.
