Budget: Around £1500 - can make it more if its needed
Main uses of intended build: Gaming. a bit of Photoshop and cad (not too important)
Parts required: Whole system - I have a case: Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced (will be modding so no space problems)
Previous build information (list details of parts): N/A - nothing that can be salvaged
    Monitor resolution: 1920 x 1080 (2 x 24")
    Storage requirements: 1TB is fine
Will you be overclocking: yes i probly will

So far i have in mind:
    CPU: i7 2600k
GPU: I was thinking a ATI 6950 (not shure on this)
    Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro
    Memory: 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance
PSU: Corsair Pro Gold AX850 (i know its overkill but i need that for lighting )
    Storage: 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
SSD: 64GB Crucial C300 (just for os and a few programs)
    CPU Cooler: ThermalTake Frio
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
DVD Drive: i have one, would love a bluray slotload if you can get one?

    Total is £1,167

    Thanks

Drop the CPU down to a 2500K. You will not notice the difference to the 2600K but your wallet will.

What do you mean by "lighting"? Even a 500w PSU will be more than enough for the rig, an 850w is waaaay overkill.

    Will do thanks,
I might add another GPU later on.
There could be 100-200w of LED's running off it (got a big plan)

Some of that rig is a tad OTT. You don't need the hyperthreadinh or premium PSU.

    100-200W for LEDs?!?!?!

What are you planning that involves 1500-3000 LEDs? Or have I missed something?

    RGB ;)
100-200w is the very max it will be (thats all my custom built controller can take)
plus i might be adding some external LED's, who knows ;)
