hello people of bit-tech i have a challenge for all??? im in need of a pair of speacker's as my 2.1 set died on me last night so thay got the hammer treatment we were both in bit's at the end of the night need's must i require a new set any recommendations...
Had a look on scan, there isnt too much around the £60 mark..quite a few under £60, not sure what they are like though..
Logitech speakers usually offers a good or in some cases really good price for what you get. Worth a look. Don't expect spectacular sound that you never heard like before, especially at that price range (especially if you use an onBoard sound card, instead of a dedicated one), but still very good.
Back in another thread someone suggested a cheap amp and a pair of bookshelf speakers, not sure if that is an option for you?
Theres a few Altec Lansing sets on scans site..they used to be alright, wouldnt take long to see if there was any reviews of a set.
On your budget the logitech Z4 with out a doubt. I've got a set and they've got a good deep punchy base and a crisp top end. Maybe just a tad weak in the mid range, but for the money you'll be hard pressed to do better.
If you would like to go the 5.1 route, I have heard these speakers and they are not bad at all, some of my favorites that they sell at a local shop. I also really like Creative, and this system looks pretty awesome. In my experience Creative is a bit better than Logitech but it has been many years since I have had the need to purchase computer speakers. For all I know, they're part of the same company now .
for £60 pounds even 2.1 is a stretch. I would suggest, a little over budget: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/logitech-z523-dark-speaker-system-21-piano-black-40w-total-rms
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-In...J06C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312423189&sr=8-1 i have these, had them for 4 years still going strong, very nice sound etc. £77 though :/
Hmm, if u can still find some (ebay), the logitech x-230s were really really good for the price (£25!) the updated model is the X232, so it might be worth giving them a whirl?
