Extra driving lessons: 150 quid for 3 hours. This card is stupidly expensive to acquire.

    Oh, and post nr. 2000.

I've just bought myself a macbook air 11in. Superb computer, it's amazing what you can squeeze into something not much bigger than an iPad.

I even managed to play some Portal on it in the lounge.

That's a damn sexy piece of hardware - if only it wasn't so expensive! I love some of Apple's industrial hardware design - it's brilliant.

Congrats, enjoy! I am still patiently waiting for my current laptop to actually go BER so I can RUN to the Apple store and buy an i7 powered 15" MBP :thumb:

It won't be long now - it's started BSODing on shutdown, which means you can't restart it properly, which means installing drivers or windows updates properly is impossible. It's only a matter of time before it gets replaced.

Very nice, as much as I hate Macs (I don't hate them, just the type of people that buy them) I would love to have a Macbook Air, with Windows 7 installed of course :D

Oh, isa-gonna-happen my friend ;) It's just a matter of time! By the way, I've been meaning to ask around these parts - does anyone know the deal with Apple hardware purchases for SMBs is in the UK? I hear there's extended support and discount, but I don't know how extended or how much discount :)

When you consider that any similar laptops from the likes of Acer cannot beat apple's price I'd say it's a bargain :D

Intel have announced a fund to try to help them bring the costs down too: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=214608

You know that mac owners are just normal people yeah ;) :D I used to only have pc's and now I only have mac's. Well apart from an htpc in the lounge.

I've got the same, which I'm using as my normal desktop whilst my Mac Pro is off for a new enclosure. Been rather surprised that the MBA is coping incredibly well with the load - does get a little toasty when playing Flash due to the current bug though, and being an i7 doesn't help.

I was going to get the 11", but needed the longer battery of the 13", and the SD reader helped the decision.

Sigh. That's about as immature as car drivers calling "most but not all" van drivers douche bags.

Unfortunately he is right though. Every single Mac-user I know is a douche, at least when talking about their apple gadgets. Even when we both are using the same software and they are using some C2D Macbook that is crippled by silly 2GB of RAM they are convinced their machine will get the job done faster due to "bett optimized drivers and no blue screens". :(

I don't hate the machines as they're top quality, I even keep recommending them from time to time, but some users. If you happen to own a Mac and are no Mac evangelist all the better.

@Cei: Awesome game, you'll have hell of a good time, esp. with your mates in mp. :thumb:
