    hi all

this happened after i installed 2 games
    league of legends and battleforge

it wiould be either a complete freeze of my desktop requiring a hard reset or a freeze when a new window opens needing a hard reset

my pc is 2 years old
custom made and has worked well until now

    done checkdisk
    defrag
    reg cleanup
    uninstalled the software
    pc was cleaned recently
    no hardware abnormalities
    no overheating
    vista ultimate 64 bit
counterfeit (never caused a problem scince it was installed, was made counterfeit due to a stupid mistake i have long scince fixed)
im running an amd atlon dual core
    2 gig ram
1.5TB of hard disk space but only 500 is directly linked to my pc and its gor 40 gig free

(never caused problems before, full hard disk i mean)

thats all the info i can supply atm

please help im tearing my hair out

    to iterate
its not hardware nor is there any issues with the pc involving faulty hardware or drivers IT IS BECAUSE OF THE GAMES AS THE PROBLEM CAME UP AFTER THESE GAMES WERE INSTALLED

    the ram is fine
graphic card and all that jazz is fine and in working order and nothing is overheating
    :wallbash:

    Edit: 3:35 10/09/11
Currently running obit deep scan and avast full scan
And will amend this post I would love this to go away

    Edit 01:21. 11/09/11

League of legends gone And I got almost a full day with it working then it just froze but this time not even the power button works. Please guys I'm begging
    Now!!!!

This seems similar to your problem.

Try doing a system restore to before you installed league of legends.

Don't know if it's relevent but when you install League of legends it uses a program called Pando media booster. This program, installed with default settings, Runs constantly.
As a test install the game but don't open it, then use NETSTAT to view the active connections.

I only have a 40GB per month limit on my internet connection and it is VERY slow. this program is a P2P file sharing program that runs on windows boot. I had about 30+ connections to other machines and this really slowed everything down online.

It didn't crash my machine but at times it froze.... then came back.

Anyway. just a suggestion. good luck.
