This seems similar to your problem. Try doing a system restore to before you installed league of legends.
Hi this is an update I ran malwarbytes and found 7 registry errors after that I found the pc was working fully till I went on google chrome and it crashed also I found the game league of legends had a dodgy patch that crashes many other players any ideas I'm running vista 64 I was told to restore but I can't find any restores past the 8th please! Help!
Don't know if it's relevent but when you install League of legends it uses a program called Pando media booster. This program, installed with default settings, Runs constantly. As a test install the game but don't open it, then use NETSTAT to view the active connections. I only have a 40GB per month limit on my internet connection and it is VERY slow. this program is a P2P file sharing program that runs on windows boot. I had about 30+ connections to other machines and this really slowed everything down online. It didn't crash my machine but at times it froze.... then came back. Anyway. just a suggestion. good luck.
