Graphics wanting a graphic card,no i dear what !

    after been told yesterday that a xbox pad could be used with a pc for gaming i've decided to get a graphic card.
    I built my first pc 18 months ago
    the spec is
    windows 7 64but
    4gb ram
    Amd Athlon II x 4 630 processor
    ATI radeon hd 3200 motherboard

    I have my it attached to my vga monitor and my lcd tv

    what graphic card will you advise to get ?? no more then £100.

    No more than £100? Considering everything else in there; You'd probably have good luck picking up a GTS450 for £70. Better bargains might be lurking about, but this is a reliable little card. If a touch dated now. You could also hunt around for GTX 460's, although those are getting into a short supply now, and are a touch over your budget at around £120-130

    the asus monitor has d-sub only and pamasonic lcd has 2 hdmi,component and D Sub.

    With such a low budget (for a graphics card which is probably the most important thing for gaming), you should maybe consider trying to pick up a bargain second hand.

    No idea what things go for but is it possible to pick up a 5870 for £100 these days? Might be worth looking into...

    It's a shame you can't go higher than £100, scan have a nice superclocked GTX460 in the today only section for £113. That would be your best bet.

    Was looking at that myself, not sure if worth it over a 4870HD 512mb - Considering I want to upgrade after xmas sometime.

    May as well wait another couple of months, then in theory a new generation of GPU should appear.

    Indeed.

    Would definitely recommend it to this guy though, judging by reviews it beats the 5770 by
    a fair bit and that was better than my 4870 512MB.

    Thats a good deal! Saw that and was thinking about buying for sons new PC. Might try get a 560Ti though..not sure. Good value on the 460 though!

    For £228 two of those in SLI is a lot of performance for the money!

    Although dependent on SLI profiles for the games you play of course.
