hi guys, I looking to build a new desktop computer and i need some help. I'm not a big gamer but i hate slow computers, i can't stand waiting long for apps to load. so i like my pc to be fast. This is what i've been looking so far. Intel Core I5-2500K 3.3Ghz 6Mb Cache Socket LGA1155 Processor Sandy Bridge Asus P8Z68-V LX Motherboard (Socket 1155, DDR3, 2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16, ATX, LucidLogix Virtu) Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3 1600MHz CL9 8GB DIMM Memory Module (Kit of 2) - Grey Corsair TX Series, 650 Watt, ATX, PS/2, Power Supply, UK Version (CMPSU-650TXUK) Crucial CT128M4Solid State Drive2 128GB M4 Solid State Drive SEAGATE Barracuda 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - 500 GB 1) just want to know if anybody knows about any compatability issues with the parts i chose. 2) i also need to buy a graphic card for my new computer. tha card will be used mainly to watch streaming movies on my 32 inch hd tv . i might play fifa or pro evo but that's about it. 3) also any suggestions on psu(is it powerful enough??) 4) any suggestion on a good case without spending a fortune??? thanks,
That looks pretty damn good to me, a nice mix of parts that should work well together. 1) No compatability issues that I can see. 2) As it doesn't sound like you'll be gaming too much I wouldn't spend a fortune - something like a GeForce 560Ti would be at the upper end of what you should get. A standard GeForce 560 might be a better bet (cheaper) 3) The PSU is more than powerful enough, and it's a good brand as well - you always want a quality power supply (i.e. from a good company like Corsair or Enermax) 4) Not sure on case, Antec or Coolermaster make good cheap cases though
PSU is fine. Depending on the graphics card you choose you could probably go down to a 500W - 550W PSU. The Antec Truepower New and OCZ ZT PSUs are worth a look. They are good solid PSUs which do not command the same premium price as a Seasonic, Enermax or Corsair branded unit.
So that is 2 x 8Gb memory modules? If you are just gaming then drop it to 2 x 4Gb as you will never use that much for games!
