Dear god. That 3Dmark11 score is higher than the top recorded score for the basic run on the 3Dmark site.
Look out, everyone, Simon's about to explode. That's some seriously insane scores, though. I worry about my GPU at times, that hasn't helped prevent me from blowing what's left of my money on a new GPU. Or Three.
Explode...I just did...Now I have to clean up! More than welcome to buy my GTX 580's in the marketplace...
I only have about £250 left, I can get another one of these 550's for only £55, so it's not that bad.
Whilst your at it, can you send me those HD7970's and I will swap my 3960X for his....I'm sure no one would notice.
I'll wait till the GTX 600 series is out before I decide. Either it's gonna come out several months after the 7000 series and will be proportionally better or it will come out very soon and be similar in performance/price. So far, though, if the 7870 will be similarly performanced (YES THAT IS A WORD SHUT UP), I might have to switch to AMD, mind bendingly obtuse Catalyst interface be damned.
No, no I did not. Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't really heard anything about it so I didn't know. I wish nVidia would stop doing that. 200 series - 300 in only laptops - 400 series - 500 series - 600 in laptops - 700. It's confusing. EDIT: Though I'm still going to wait for nVidia's offering before deciding.
Really impressive score, hopefully Nvidia won't take too long to release their responce to AMDs new cards!
