So I'm adding some upgrades next week and decided it was time I posted a photo of my computer.

Not the best photo but it's a start system was running at the time

That photo has given me an idea... Which coolers are there that will mount in a vertical orientation rather than horizontal?

I am trying to find a high end air cooler that won't snag my 4 sticks of Vengeance RAM on a Sabertooth P67 motherboard. Most of them seem to - but if it could be rotated like an AMD mount, then I could get one to fit - and have the air blowing out the top of my CM690-II case - there are two fans there anyway, so just as good as the fan on the back :)

It does indeed - but will that be man enough to cool an i2600k @4.9GHz?

I am currently running a Corsair H100 - but am thinking of moving to a case like the Fortress 02 - which doesn't really have mounts for an h100 :( it would mean replacing those nice big penetrators with little 120s

It is an Artic 7 and it does the job of cooling quite well. Hit about 55-60c when OC'd to 4.5ghz xD

Could be worse my cousin has a higher temp than me but he is using a 775 Q6600 OC'd as high as it will go.

Not Oc'd now so I'm happy with it.

I'm building a watercooled i7 as we speak, external 240mm radiator. I'm hoping to keep below 30.

I highly doubt you'll keep it below 30 under load...

And nice build, looks like you need an 8 pin extension though ;)

And gcwebby, a lot of the towers can be mounted vertically so to speak as far as I'm aware (my thermalright ultra certainly could)

The actual cooling power of this case gives watercooling a run for it's money. No joke. Project log is in my sig under the name refraction.
