TSMC's inefficiency has been holding back mass-deployment of new tech for years now, it's hardly surprising that its customers are looking elsewhere.

I wouldn't be surprised. Strangely though, unless I'm mistaken, Nvidia seems to have a lot of faith in TSMC.

There is really another alternative besides Intel, AMD & TSMC ?!

Nvidia ONLY does that because they are on/from SAME COUNTRY!

What? So you are saying Nvidia is in Taiwan? Same as TSMC?

Nvidia wants Intel as their fab.

Shouldn't TSMC have opened a new facility by now to help handle demand?

The problem is TSMC wont ever forward looking. Read back all the news. It was them they predicted wrongly and scale back MANY production improvement. Then they retract and say they will now put more in R&D etc.....

I think that is one reason why Apple will properly never work with them.

Gradius is right, if off on the names - who else is there, aside from TSMC, GloFo, and Intel? And does Intel even do 3rd party work in their fabs? Seems like the game should be GloFo's game to lose, now. Aren't they already in the midst of building 2 new fabs?

I do remember. The trouble is that there aren't many fabs with either the capacity or the capability to take up the slack. Fabs are like an army's logistical corps, when they are inefficient nobody goes anywhere.
