Not the best timing either, middle of a Sunday? If it was that serious it couldn't be performed out of hours the users should have been informed.

I'd get sacked on the spot if I took a major service offline without letting people know.

The joy of single player games eh?

I heard it was something to do with the crackers collecting data for their server emulation, and that Blizzard has taken Europe offline whilst it tries to make it harder. Sounds unlikely though, I hope that even Blizzard aren't stupid enough to think they can win.

    Hackers gon hack.

Just accept that some people will want to steal your game and take money off the honest ones.

I'd love to know how much they spend on preventing 'loss of revenue'.

Is it acceptable to steal games these days?

I should be getting Diablo 3 in the middle of next month (been a bit too broke to buy it on release), looking forward to playing catch-up to everyone's levels. :D

What is everyone's favoured character class at the moment?

So I have hit lvl 10 or 11.

I have a question, a level 35 friend came to help me and obviously blitzed some stuff. Am I still earning decent xp doing this? Or is this like wow with diminishing returns?

As for gear, said friend made me a bunch of stuff and I have been using drops. Though most of my drops dont seem to be suited to my class right now. Guessing as I get a little higher I will actually bother to look as stats and make sure they suit my class.

The monk has been ok so far, interesting to follow.

I think I will need to buy a decent moust. I'm using a freebie Dell one atm!

Is the UI customizable with mods like wow? If so anyone have any good ones yet?

According to an interview question with Blizzard on Kotaku there will be no mods for the game:

Q: Will Diablo III include support for bots and/or mods?
A: No, for a variety of gameplay and security reasons, we will not be supporting bots or mods in Diablo III, and they'll be expressly prohibited by our terms of use for the game.

Diminishing returns, from what I understand. I certainly was levelling a lot slower when playing with my friends high level characters.

In normal you dont really need to worry about gear as you'll replace everything in Nightmare. And being normal it's quite easy.
Diablo 3 is not moddable and never will be.

ComfyASSbadger, were you playing Barb? If so, how you dealing with inferno? I had to go 1-hand/shield for most of hell n first act of inferno wasn't going to change that, despite the fact I would of course like to use a 2 hander.. So what's your build for it?

I took a break after finishing it on Normal. Only problem I have now is that I want to try other classes, but I don't want the "easyness" of Normal. ARGH!

Bah, I'll have to stick with Monk I think. I can't just do Normal over and over to get other classes levelled up. Plus I've got a backlog of games still to go through.

Not very well as I'm undergeared. Vit is ok at 38k but my DPS sucks at about 6k, need atleast 12k for solo farming.
Currently farming norm for the whymshire mats and I'll then farm Hell Whymshire to see if the loot is as good or better than act 4.
Once I'm geared will farm The Butcher inf.

In work so will try and remember my farming spec -

    Left - Frenzy with Maniac
Right - Wrath of the Berserker with Insanity
    A - War Dry with Veteran's Warning
W - Threatening Shout with Terrify
    D - Revenge with Provocation
S - Call of the Ancients with Duty to the Clan.

Passives - Boon of Bul-Kathos, Weapons Master (I have a sword), Bloodthirst.

That is a solo farming spec, if I were to be more of a tank in a grp would change out most of those.
