the childrens tv isnt well i think - when using HDMI the colours are aweful , with hazing everywhere , in games , on sky - everything - , yet , when using scart or component from the xbox its perfectly fine any idea`s?
Have you tried a different HDMI cable? It may be a fault with the cable itself. Once you've ruled that out we can try and determine what the issue is exactly.
Xbox/Xbox 360? If the latter, what's the output resolution set at? - It needs to be a setting your TV displays natively, not just supports. Also, you can change the colour types in the 360 settings if needed.
ok the xbox is set to output 720p , teh res of the screen (also does the same in 1080i) , changed all settings but its still there , a coloured `haze` around everything
Bit back to front, but do you have any friends with an xbox you could borrow for 5 minutes just to check that it's not the source of your woes?
He said in the OP it happens with his Sky Box as well, so I don't think it's an issue with the Xbox. Then again it could be :/
Most likely that hdmi port is broken which is a replacement telly job as I'm not sure they are repairable. You have tested other items like sky and it's still the same and you have ruled out cables so it's nigh on certain to be the tv.
it happens on a sky hd box + an xbox 360 (and yes they do watch sky on teh xbox as well) , component it is then as the hdmi ports are knackered?
You could get it fixed/engineers report, but the cost would be close to the price of a new TV if you went through a Samsung dealer. Sent on my CM10 JB powered i9100 by TapaTalk 2
Give this a go. I've a weird issue with my monitor where using one of the DVI connections causes the displayed image to be way brighter for some reason.
