so today is the day we move from o2 to fibre.

adsl goes off as planned so we wait.

only 1 instruction - donot visit between 2.30 and 3.30 as i will not be here (school run)

BT turn up to connect fibre at 3pm.

cant make it back tonight so have to rebook-21 days time.

    FFS

will be ok till i run out of data tethering

Don't get me started on BT, I'll avoid them as far as possible. They always seem to find a way to fudge you up one way or another.

You have my sincerest sympathies my friend

ADSL is live but no fibre, so the kids will have something.

    No.

Most of them stipulate your mobile data is unlimited against their fair use policy.

Nearly all the fair-use policies contain a section on not tethering.

    Your right :waah:

    Giff Gaff

Can I tether using the unlimited internet goodybags? In a nutshell, no. These goodybags are solely for mobile use and tethering is not permitted.

Tethering technically isn't permitted on a T-Mobile contract...I downloaded 30GB through it last month. :worried:

Depends what network you're on. I'm on the one plan with 3 and I get unlimited data plus tethering, been using it for 2 years without a problem.

3 do a monthly contract with unlimited data plus tethering for something like 18 quid a month which is pretty good.

Hate you lot so much... Been shopping for a phone lately, and the best plan I can get will be a base $50 per month (but expect the bill to be closer to $70), and I get 300mb of data with 150 or so minutes of voice, no tethering allowed. Period. Any usage beyond this is either a per mb or per gb, and would almost double the monthly cost.

Keep in mind that this is with or without contract. **** Canada.

BT are complete and utter tossers, their technicians are rude and obnoxious, they can't follow simple instructions and the way they drive their vans shows they have absolutely no consideration for other road users.

I'd rather set my testicles on fire and extinguish them in a vat of acid before I'd take up any service with them.

the good news is as its a sky llu exchange then they use adsl as the fibre fall back - so at least we have adsl now

but , they emailed me the photo the engineer took - seriously , it was taken at a zoom from near the end of the road.

sky wont pass on any charge as they too agree he never even bothered to knock
