I only paid £2650 for the car, but I had to have it delivered from oop norff (£400) and it needs about £1k of stuff before it'll be race-ready.

Still, I think that's still bloody cheap for motorsport - I was looking at doing arrive-and-drive's in a single seater and it was almost that total amount PER WEEKEND.

Well I had to go to work at midnight last night because our delivery driver set the alarm off. But when I left work, roads were clear..

Which means I averaged 14mpg for a 10 minute drive home. Deserted roads meant I had some excellent fun going around roundabouts.

I used to love driving at night, but now my eyes are getting old I find it really hard to see what's going on.

I absolutely love it, and when it's late enough around here, there's no cars on the road, which means you can have some serious fun. My little 1.4 Pug 207 never feels like a WRC spec car, but last night it sure as hell did. Drove home with the biggest grin.

I need to get to a track day. And buy a nice sportier car.

Last night was most likely the last time of the year I drove the RX8. It's going in its little bunker for the winter.

It's now time for the return of the overpass-surviving-Accord :hip:

    Hey AlexB,

Great news, you'll have a really great time next season if the car proves to be reliable.

I think a separate thread for you to blog your progress in is in order, I for one would be very keen to follow you on your journey.

The best of luck to you.

This is THE most cringe worthy photo ever but I can't actually find another. I recently bought myself a Focus ST3...

She is back, all the work is done, just need the alloy's refurbed and then steering wheel recovered and she's finished (for now)

*Note* The baby seat in the front, my three year old boy shouts VERY loud "faster" when ever he sees a clear road in front of us - NO idea where he gets it from...!

Looking good! CSL wheels and splitter I see, any other tweaks under the skin?

Your kid's story reminds me of this PH carpool... Little tot in a Ferrari shouting "Red car go!" Next-gen petrol fiends. :D

Oh dear, I looked at that 512TR again... Cue some rather unflattering dribbling.

I would have one of those over any modern car, if it worked or not. They have always been my dream car ever since I was about 2 years old. Had models of them and everything.

I still think the owners of Gillette owe their designs to it too.

I'm not so sure about the 512. One of my client's had one and wasn't hot on it either.

I'd kill for a 355 though. God they are gorgeous.

They're very different, even within the model range apparently.

The TR is the apex, Ferrari went back and re-worked the whole thing based on the criticisms of the Testarossa and ended up with what most reckon is a great car. Not that I'm bothered, as a road car it's perfect imo - big characterful engine, crazy 80's styling.

The 355 is gorgeous, those two are my 3rd and 4th favourite Ferraris after the F40 and F50.

Read brake light has just gone, seems like I've completed the quartet of e46 common issues (brake light, airbag light, window not working and bearing on the control arms)

Could fix the first three myself although I'm tempted to just get it done by a proper garage; had a look at the window repair and it seemed more trouble than it was worth.

Thanks mate, no not at the moment, I am in restoration mode at the moment, for some reason folks don't look after their cars like they should! :miffed:
