I just wanted to know if this RAM: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/16gb...66-(1333)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-15v

Will work with this motherboard: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus...sata-iii-6gb-s-sata-raid-dvi-d-hdmi-micro-atx

The Gryphon mobo wants "DDR3 DIMM" memory. Now I am confused by the "DIMM" part =/. And I can't figure out whether the memory I picked is DIMM or not, or whether that even matters. I learning about components as I slowly plan a PC build, and I'm a little ignorant about the fine detail of RAM. I though it was just matching DDR3 to DDR3.

Have you tried looking at the QVL List?

However, it's likely that RAM will be perfectly fine.

DIMM: "dual in-line memory module", just your standard memory module as above, used in most computers.

SO-DIMM: "small outline dual in-line memory module", which is the half-sized laptop version.

I.e. the components you want should work together. It's just that there's a difference between DIMM i.e. normal modules and the SO-DIMMs for laptops which you need to watch out for, but normal sized DDR3 will work with normal sized DDR3 slots.
