Hi all - anyone here heard of the issue where the HAF X holes don't line up properly with the expansion cards? I have to really apply some pressure to get them to line up and I'm worried it's applying stress on the cards. Thanks
Hi Seb.F, That is unfortunate to hear. If you think the stress on the cards is too big, you can ask for RMA. We don't want to ruin your expansion cards.

However I'm concerned that moving the Titan actually has enough force to make a nasty sound and is almost too hard to push in. If I tighten the bolts first, THEN try and plug it into the PCIE slot, it's only just manageable.
Hi Seb, Could you check if your MB tray and the back (including the side) of the chassis are straight? If you really don't trust it we can send you a new frame of the HAF X (because a Titan is not something to mess around with). If you'd like that, please PM me with your contact details and we will work something out

Hi Seb F, We tested a HAF X frame, but we also had the same clearance on the GPU as you had. We fixed this by giving a push on the PCI brackets. Not much force is needed to do this and you won't see the difference on the outside. But on the inside it will make a difference for the holes to line up perfectly. We are willing to send you this frame, but if you want to have this solution fast you could also try to push it in a little yourself. Hope this will solve your problem.
Thanks Nick. I've tried all I can with quite some force to line it up, unfortunately it just won't have it. I think I will just give the case away to a friend instead. Thanks for you help anyway.
before you go giving away a nice case... try this remove your mobo, and ALL the standoffs buy a pack of small washers put the standoffs back in standing on the washers ( so the mobo is slightly higher ) I might have some washers I could give / lend you and I will be in Northampton on Saturday
Thanks for the tip matey, I will have a look tomorrow, I have a ton of washers hanging around the office!
Unfortunately not had time yet, had loads of friends over at the weekend - I may not get a chance until later this week with my main setup. Might be able to chuck a spare motherboard in just to check it all though.
this is a link that better explains what I mean http://www.bjorn3d.com/2009/10/silverstone-rv-02-raven/ about half way down the page the fellow has a similar issue with his RAVEN02 ( by Silverstone ) and uses some nuts ( insert witty comment ) to fix the issue I myself own that case and have that particular issue ( apparently caused by cheap mobo standoffs ) and found the mod by accident at a LAN party, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to take my rig apart to perform the mod as of yet, but next time it needs a full clean ( once a year ) I shall be adding washers
