It was the Phobya stuff I bought from C & C Central but I'm not impressed with it.

First attempt was a disaster, too much clear paste (should be 1 part) to (4 parts black paste).

Second attempt was much better but there appeared to be little lumps/stones in the paste - I could hear grinding when I pressed the heatsink down...

After nearly 20 hours of waiting for paste to dry, I gave up on Phobya...

Plan B - Artic MX-2 plus cable ties

Disaster again - spreading the paste was difficult and nearly impossible for me to attach with the cable ties...

I've re-attached the original cooler to the graphics card

Years a go I did a similar mod - attached a heatsink using the Arctic Thermal Adhesive (no cable ties) and it did a brilliant job but the Arctic stuff is almost twice the price I paid... Hence I chose Phobya and yes I do regret it...

Plan C - Buy a silent graphics card

EVGA GF GT 210 1GB DDR3 Graphics Card

    or

Asus GeForce 210 Silent Graphics Card (1GB, DDR3)

I prefer the Asus as it has larger heatsink..

    What do you reckon guys?

    Thank you in advance

I would suggest posting a wanted thread in the Bit-Tech Marketplace.

Very helpful bunch that usually have an old GPU they can throw your way if it meets your needs.

Otherwise the GT210 is quite old hat, decent enough if you simply require video out options though!
