    Hi guys,

I do not know as much as I would like about wifi and I need a wifi card for my laptop as the alu body blocks the signal. So I ask for help finding a good usb wifi card.

    - is the number of antenna important?

    - Is MIMO still a thing?

My Router the Cisco E4200 supports 2.5 and 5 GHz wireless N.

    What would you suggest?
Any one know where to find Wifi reviews.

    Hello mate

Whilst not exactly what you are looking for, I plugged one of these into my desktop recently using an adapter. It picks up the signal fantastically (144MBps) across the hallway. It is paired with an adapter card and some aerials hanging out of the back of my desktop. It is designed for slotting into a laptop, so should work with you.

Surprised your laptop isn't wifi, though? How does that work? Is it an ancient piece of kit?

A word of warning against USB wifi cards, I have had a couple in the past and do not rate them at all - load of sh*t if you ask me.

It has wifi but the alu body blocks the signal from getting through.

I use a Cisco WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB adapter on my desktop and it works very well.
