Currently I run only MSE, previously I've run AVG free and Ad-Aware free both prior to MSE
I just found a worm:VBS/Jenxcus!ink on my computer and I'm trying to use Malwarebites to remove it.

What are other running, anything worth paying for over the free versions?
I see malware isn't much for a key, but would it help me at all?

I use MSE or avast I think. If I think I've got myself infected with something I run a CCleaner and Malwarebytes until they both come back clear.

I haven't paid for anti-virus for years and have never had any real problems, a lot of preventing infection is down to how you use the internet (not clicking links from Nigerian businessmen or torrenting skin flicks etc).

This ^^^^ I use the free Comodo suite, firewall, a/v, sandbox and lots more, I'm surprised it's still free although it's not the most intuitive to use, it is highly configurable, also use the obligatory Malwarebytes, CCleaner and PrivaZer just to clean out lots of junk that windows likes to keep for no good reason and Process Hacker, which is useful for identifying all running processes, many of which aren't displayed in Task Manager, and if they are trying to get online.

Malwarebytes is very good. MSE is fine as long as you are sensible. Symantec Endpoint Cloud SBE 2013 is the best imo for a paid product.

I've used Antivir and AVG, currently I use MSE.
Haven't used a pay-for Virusscanner in my life.

Malwarebytes and ADW Cleaner, especially when cleaning clients PCs... If you visit dubious websites then you stand a far higher chance of getting infected with malware, but then no one ever does :)

I used to use ADW cleaner but Malwarebytes got everything so i stopped using it.

obviously the best anti virus is the user but again I swear by AVG.

MSE has now been removed from all the computers I use/have access to and AVG installed.

It's amazing how viruses get on computers, because every time I've cleaned someone's computer, the virus "just turned up" and they definitely didn't download any dodgy software or look at any dodgy websites.
    (yeah right)

I use Avast Premier on most of my machines and just the basic Microsoft stuff on my server as it doesn't connect to the Internet.

Avast, Spybot S&D and CCleaner seems to keep my machine clean. Malwarebytes did come in handy on a family members computer 2 weeks ago to get rid of some dodgy stuff.

I use MSE and malwarebytes. I find that MSE isn't the greatest. However, I find that MSE + malwarebytes is just fine for me. I just make sure to run a malwarebytes scan every few weeks.

Been told that MSE on W8 is about all you need, so it's all I use now.

Used various ones in the past, AVG, avira, avast etc.

hitmanpro I think was recommended if I wanted something extra.
Also a friend ran me through some EMET thing, but I can't really remember what it was/what is was for haha.

I just use windows defender, run a MBAM scan every few months if I need to.

It's all to do with what websites you go on and if you click the " definatelyfreeporn.exe" links.

MSE and Malwarebytes for me too - never had an issue. Used to use (and recommend) AVG but got fed up with all their ads to try and get me to pay for the full version!

As previously stated though - sensible browsing is the key.
