Was expecting to almost finish my build today and my CPU power cable for my EVGA G2 PSU had a pin come out.
I've never dabbled with cables, and have idea what to do. Can someone help?

Is the pin still connected to the wire? You can normally just push them straight back in but you may need to open up the locking 'tangs' that retain the pin in the connector a bit. You can do that with a craft blade or similar and they only need to be opened a couple of mm.

Its still attached and at further inspection it appears the tangs are completely mangled. I've managed to put it back in the plastic end bit using a screwdriver and is seems OK and plugs into the extension cord I've got to check it with. I'll attach photos and you can tell me if it looks OK, doesn't seem that bad, certainly better shape than most standard Molex leads I've seen.

Looking at a google image of your power supply there seems to be two cpu modular sockets, do you not have a spare modular cable that you could use instead or am I looking at the wrong image.

On the product page at EVGA it says 2x 8pin (4+4) so you should be in luck.

Found one. Great success! Thanks all. Can anyone suggest anyone who can affordably shorten a set of cables for me?

It's actually more work to shorten cable sets than it is to make a new set. I don't know if somewhere like Pexon's will quote for a set of bare cables but you can ask.

There's a fair bit of work involved so you probably won't get it done as cheaply as you'd like.
