OK got my CCFL today is really cool lights up the case superbrightly!!! pics

that wonderful shiny grille effect coming up from when i sprayed the panels and then sanded off

 

wow it realy does look alot better than the first shots keep it up (a case is never complete) i think i have said ok that is it at least a dozen times but nope there is always something else to do anyways is looking realy good, keep up the good work.

ok am going out to buy myself a new GFX card today will have a look and see which is the best for £400

 

update went to maplins today and bought meself a nice memory cooler from thermaltake and a big round cable to join up my HDD and CDRW inside the PC, and also with an aim to cooling down the whole lot-- processor is running at a pretty constant 60 celcius these days

 

i know it looks like my processor fan has stopped, but its just a very fast cam shutter speed

 

I think its safe to say that this isn't a Budget Mod any more! Getting better every day though!

yeah but you cant really call a gfx card a mod can u??? neway i couldn't be bothered to wait for my 80mm holesaw to come thru tomorrow, so im going to put two blowholes in the top so i masking-taped two fans in on top, one didnt have a connector so i had to twist and tape it to a molex just a bit ghetto i will post pics, my PC was running at a 55 degree system temperature before now its down to 40 degrees

its the molexes on the bottom right with the CCFL cables-- i know dont worry it will all be ok, would it be allowable for me to run

1 CCFL
1 LED Fan (12V)
1 20GB HDD
1 CDRW


all of the same molex cable with extensions?

 

found a store today who will cut a massive M into the top of the PC for me i am going to make it into a cool window

 

dropped it in today should have it back in a few

I've just looked through the entire ten pages of this topic - and my thoughs have gone from "what the flying intercouse is this guy trying to do?" to "well I'll be damned with a bloody large damning stick, he's actually made a **** case look pretty damn good."

Two things I'd recommend:

1) Get some chrome edging round that window. Please. It'd look so much better for it.

2) Don't stop. There's no need to over-mod the case, but there's plenty more that can be done yet! How about ba blowhole on the top? More red LEDey stuff?

Keep it up, and at the end of a day's work go back to page 1 and remind yourself how far it's come along since then.

I can't believe no one has said this...

Don't put the CD ROM and HDD on the same IDE channel, it will slow the HDD down.....a lot

The chrome edgind in the middle is the stuff you want... make sure you buy enough though!

Also - where did you get that 'modders mesh' from?
