I'm after a T610, SIM free as I'm on Virgin Mobile.

SE are sold out and I have found this. Anyone know if these people are ok to buy off, or you know of anywhere cheaper?

The T610 sucks bad unless you have its firmware updated by Sony.

I have had no problems with anything on my T610
Which firmware update is the 'good' one then, and what problems are there with the original firmware?

    2. It crashes when using the WAP browser.
    3. It just crashes.
    4. Java speed sucks hard.

    yeah,

my t610, has been crashing occasionally and the java games take like 4 years to load. + its hard to see in sunlight

Re: firmware. Do u have to get it done by sony or can i do it over my bluetooth link?

Other than that its a pretty sexy piece of kit

btw: it may be of interest that theres been a general recall on the chargers that came with my t610 cos they apparently occasionly explode!

There is no-way to flash the firmware over a Bluetooth connection (or IR), never gonna happen... needs to be a data cable connection only.

When flashing, the phone is a different 'state', dunno how to explain, but basically - how you gonna activate Bluetooth or IR if then phone is 'turned off' (kind of)...

Anyway, yes a bigger phone shop should be able to sort you out... it might be free if phone is less than one year old and you can prove its yours.. I think, best to ring up!
