Actually, that's not what I'm bloody well after ^^

I'm trying to find information on the Redemptor Dreadnought, not the Contemptor...

And seemingly, the new SM tank turret is a "Heavy Lascannon" with the rule that if you fire the coaxial heavy stubber at a target, if you fire the heavy lascannon at the same target, you get to re-roll to hit.

    *Looks at dreadnought stats*

Heh. I remember when the assault cannon used to be this deadly thing that munched things back in 2nd edition days - min you, then it'd jam and that would be that for the rest of the game. Nowadays it's been truly neutered.

Too true. It was a Krak Missile launcher with 3 sustained fire dice. Utterly glorious!

REALLY dislike the whole 'pts at the arse end of the Codex instead of RIGHT BY THE UNIT THEY SERVE!!!'
its making pricing up my ~5k of Tyranids rather tiring as im having to constantly flick through the book to multiple different pages to see how many points a unit costs, then to see which upgrades it can take, then BACK to the points page... and with Tyranids being the first army... the temptation is to simply Re-Write the codex to put all the information ON THE SAME DAMNED PAGE

Also the primaris Marines do look rather nice, i might pick them up as stand in for Commanders rather than get squads of them

Also a couple of friends and i were talking about the removal of a couple of high profile List creators online, ( mainly http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2017/06/40k-8th-army-builder-shuts-gw-request.html) and were discussing how GW should handle it
the general consensus is that GW should sell a list builder themselves and, every book should have a code / QR code that you can scan into the list builder to unlock your specific codex / army rules, but lay it out in the same fashion.
That way you dont need to buy the codex twice ( one for the digital copy ) the list builder is easy to acsess once you have the codex, and updates and FAQ's can be applied via update as well as a print out sheet

    Thoughts ?

Don't they sort-of already do that for AoS?

    i dont know, the group only play's 40k ( and BFG )

but if thats what they do with 40k, i will be a rather happy chappie

really dreading the maths hammer im going to have to do with my forces, and new codex's are rumoured to arrive for the marines themselves in the not to distant future and apparently the price of the Primaris characters is going to be $35 dollers EACH

IIRC the AoS app has a built-in army builder, and the various warscrolls are unlocked through IAPs.

There's also a basic AoS army builder on the Warhammer Community site.

I use the paid version of Battlescribe which has all the unit listings along with power level and points for each entry.

I'm sorry, but the modelling on these have some minor but annoying things... The first guy is just resting his toe on the rock - how often do you stand like that (?) never, it's not a strong stance you certainly wouldn't be doing a "look at me with my sword" pose. The second guys face is kin'a meh, but his belt buckle is in line for his legs, but off centre for his torso, lazy cut and twist is lazy! On the next image down the guy on the left pointing his bolt pistol is on his right toe, knee bent hip dropped and leaning the upper body in - try the pose yourself, it's not comfortable or strong. You'd either have your hip high and lean back, or if you wanted to keep the lean in, then it would be left toe, knee bent hip up...

It's an impressive load of work, don't get me wrong - there's no way I could model anything like that from scratch, they're just little things that make me go "wait... what?!?"
