I've just moved from a OnePlus 7 Pro to a Pixel 6 Pro and I'm really happy with the move. Split screen works just fine - it's not the most intuitive until you've done it for the first time but after that all is good. The apps can either be split 50/50 or 25/75. Some apps don't support split screen (camera for example) but that will be the same across all devices I suspect.

Aye, sound; this is what I'm used to:

Handy for YouTube and web browsing or the like, I'd hate to buy a phone then realise that it hasn't been implemented properly.

Well, it is a feature of vanilla Android for some years now. And you can't go more vanilla than the pixel phones.

I've distributed candies on Halloween for the 1st time in 20 years and, even tho it was raining and only 15 tricksters walked in our driveway, it felt good. :)

The unspoken rule is to turn off your porch lights.

Did that too. First thing that I did when I redid the doorbell after moving into this place was to put a simple switch in the battery circuit. We have a Nest doorbell too, but I can silence that easily enough from my phone. Halloween is always a quiet time for us.

We only hit up houses that have gone to some effort outside with decorations or pumpkins... And the kids are usually told by said house to take more sweets as they usually only grab one. Why can't they be that nice at home instead of yelling at each other and screaming blue bloody murder!?

    HAHAHAHA!

After putting up with limp mode for a few days, the trusty Volvo V50 has had its turbo leakage problem solved and is once again operating at 'fully operational battle station' mode.

I can now actually accelerate up a hill, rather than watch the needle go backwards.

At 10:30am today, the workshop repairing my car after the crash called me (without me having to prod them! :eeek:).
They called to say that I should get my car back by next Wednesday, if not sooner!

Moderately awesome. I decided to take a few days off work. I need to recharge and evaluate whether I wish to continue working at my current job. Busy looking around for other work, looking for something with similar or better salary etc.

Also my docs arrived, wearing them right now. Apart from some normal tightness accross the top of my feet. They are comfy and I sized correctly.
