Always the way and usually in a weird place where at the time you thought "I'll put this somewhere safe so I can find it easily".
It's not been unknown for me to order things I need only to find the same thing in a drawer I'd ordered before that I didn't know I had.
Depends on the game, so either 1440p 27" for DoW2 or other MP games, or for things like the Witcher 3, RDR2 or Skyrim my 38" 3840 x 1600
Generally 1080, due to frugality. I Flight Sim at 2160x1920 split vertically though, so there's that.
1080p/60hz on a 23in Monitor. Living that GTX1060 life. In all seriousness games aren't compelling me to upgrade. The 1060 can handle truly massive Photoshop and Clip Studio files on my 4k work monitor without flinching and it runs almost silently. Gaming is relegated to the secondary screen, means I can play Battletech whilst working...
PC no, Xbox yes I think the TV is around 900nits Yes. Although between the TV calibration and the Xbox HDR calibration I'm not convinced I'm doing it right
Why do you think that, out of interest? I've got 2x 980Tis in SLI but looking at the Afterburner overlay, they don't seem to be utilised all the time (and I'm too lazy to go digging for Profile Inspector settings if things work okay without). They're pushing a 27" 1440p/165Hz Acer Predator - I am a bit behind the latest releases, but I have got Atomic Heart (the newest title more likely to punish them, rather than Lonely Mountains which was getting something stupid like a reported 16000fps or other daft number) running at Atomic settings and what looks like one card is getting 60-70fps. If you want me to benchmark something for you, I can try. Might give you an idea of whether to upgrade the screen at least. That 27" Predator above sits next to a Dell U2410 which is 16:10 1920x1200 and the different sizes mean they actually both look the same(ish) area-wise (if you were watching a film/gaming might not make any difference to you, other than level of detail), but obviously moving a window from the Acer to the Dell means you do see a change in the amount of info displayed (less on the Dell). That's a waffly way of saying I was also a 16:10 fan and concerned going to the Acer, but it's my main screen now and I wouldn't go back to the other one for everyday use, mainly due to the increased clarity I now have. Don't know if that helps.
32" 4k 144hz, the 3090 does struggle in a few games pushing the full 144 but thankfully its a gsync comp. monitor so things still stay nice and smooth, then my laptop is 15.6" with a 300hz panel, that thing is glorious to use
Do you have HDR display? yes three of them What level of HDR? I have no fooooking idea. LG C2 OLED in the lounge , works on Xbox perfectly. HDR600 on the 27" MSI monitor ..as to whether or not its right who knows ... But Black Mesa looks insane with HDR on. Also 4k 55" TV that i have on the driving rig (no dont use it on this monitor ) Do you use HDR in gaming? Yes everywhere i can
Very nice. I believe the LG C2 TV is the golden standard in OLED tech. Only rivalled by new QDOLED in terms of brightness. HDR is something I'd like to expand to next. Unlike 3D glasses, I believe the depth of light levels is the next big leap in visual technology. We've achieved colour accuracy, we've achieved detail, but we haven't yet achieved life-like brightness differences within a frame.
43" 4K 144Hz HDR Made the step from 27" 1440P 144Hz after years of wanting a big screen experience. Very glad I did. Yes HDR 1000 and Yes, where supported
Its the C2 from 2020 i believe . Still a cracking telly and well worth the investment!! I think its a C2 , its the 55 PLA but not the "A" spec. IM A MORON ITS A C9!!
1920X1200 because I refuse to upgrade until my quite expensive albeit ancient main monitor dies. Fun fact, the review mentions how enjoyable Doom 3 was to play on it: https://uk.pcmag.com/migrated-54079-tvs/25214/hp-lp-2465
Either 5120*1440 or 2560*1440. Depends on the game as the 3070ti can struggle on what's essentially 4k. 60Hz crowd for the win.
