I've bought woodworking tools from Dieter Schmid Fine Tools https://www.fine-tools.com on a few occasions, they always came with a little bag of sweets or biscuits. I assumed it might be a traditional thing to do in Germany.

Main driver is a snap on my dad got for me over 20 years ago. Love it to bits, speaking of I've had great results with Bosch bits.

I to have some other cheap tat precision stuff too, that's a case of finding the cheapest one I can because I generally can't locale the bit I'm lookin for

For small or specialisty, I have an Amazon Basics one thats surprisingly good. My go to large screwdrive I use loads at work is Wera, they have the manetic coating recessed on the tips so it can't be worn away, genius idea! Honestly though, I got this dual Bosch kit for work, as I've been getting worsening RSI in my wrists when I do screwdriver work, and its been fantastic. For 70% of screwdriver uses it'll replace a manual one! Then its the Wera for anything else!

It does, though maybe without some of the more esoteric [like the apple penta-****ery ones] ones...

Not sure if it's a rebrand. I have a suspiciously ifixit looking screwdriver set that came from Lidl.
There's going to many Chinese factories knocking out v similar stuff.

Manual, Wera fixed. Mostly I use a Bosch 12v electric drill, as I have really bad RSI in my wrists that flares up with screwdriver use :(

And how does your RSI and/or general wrist ****age cope with the shape of the wera handles... does it help... does it make it worse or do you not use them enough to notice either way?

They're nice and chunky, so it give a better grip for sure and becasuse they're that bit wider than most you get a bit better turning force too. They have a finky slotted magneting top too, so when the coating comes off a lot it left in the grooves to still grip nicely. They're quite cheap too, just get the one sizes you need and a decent holder :)

For the avoidance of doubt - you're referring to the full-sized ones, not the precision ones yes?

I use both, both are great :) I used to use a lot of RS pro ones, which were fine, but Wera ones are far more hard wearing and nicer to use, while still being quite cheap!

wera is my go too, simply because the rubber tends not to sticky over time.

i had a really old but solid snap-on chest had everything thing from micro sets to bolt cutters that got stolen :( not sure how someone took off with a rolling chest that weighed a ton in under 5 minutes

Where there's a will, there's a way. When I was at college some enterprising young gents were able to make off with multiple projectors that were mounted to the ceiling by showing up in clothes that were broadly similar to those of the maintenance staff [similar colour but unmarked/unbranded] and declaring with confidence 'we're here for those...' and no-one challenged them on it.

I have a ifix it kit for the pc, it's been a god send but I wanted a recharge screwdriver so I got one off amazon for under £20.
