10-20mg diazepam and any hangover soon disappears.

That was exactly my thought at that same time. Working in the office this week so alarm at 6:30 and that means immediately getting jumped on by a 16lb+ cat wanting her breakfast...

That sounds like something you might have made in full knowledge of what was about to happen as a result...

Discovering how many of my records haven't survived the house moves and years of neglect. Both my Simon and Garfunkels (Bridge Over Troubled Water and Greatest Hits) are scratched to buggery, I doubt they'll ever play again.

Less forgivable is the new stuff. Kickstarted a double-disc album by MC Frontalot, finally found time to try out the vinyl: the first disc's hole is too small, gets caught on the spindle, and both discs skip 'cos the grooves are nowhere near deep enough. Bah.

Still, there's a lot of stuff does work fine. Currently listening to Clouds by Joni Mitchell, barely a click or pop to be heard - could be a CD!

Building a rig for someone, pretty much all 2nd hand or b-grade stuff, pretty sure I tested everything out the box and was working, definitely tested the GPU and PSU, minimum. Slap some blocks etc on, plumb it in, had a bit of a splash when filling the loop as back pressure when turning it off splooshed a dollop of coolant out. Thought the kit hen towel had caught it all, but on first boot got an error code saying GPU fault. Took rig apart, sprayed motherboard with isopropyl liberaly, especially in the pcie slot. Cleaned the pcie slot on the GPU and did seem to be some coolant on it, didn't appear to have gone any further onto the PCB than the slot. Left it the weekend to dry, dirty boot it with an air cooler dumped on CPU and just a block to cool the GPU which shouldn't be doing much anyway, still won't boot.

I let my brother in law borrow my other rig, which would normally used as a trouble shooting tool as GPU is on a riser that can be swapped about, mod is way to complex to take apart and do similar, so got nothing to use to eliminate what's wrong.

    **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** ****.

Edit: remembered about an ancient half dismembered system with a 480 (that's gtx, kiddies) pulled that out and got into bios, so at least I know it's the GPU. But I also know that worked before. It's also a 3090 and the most expensive component which could have gone pop. Hope still remains that it's something to do with the block assembly need to pull that off and put the air cooler back on. Please god let it not be dead.

Damn mate that sucks, and you're helping someone out.
This is why with my luck I will not touch water cooling! You could have the cheapest crap from ali express and I'd have the best money can buy and mine would fail and yours wouldn't, plus mine would probs leak when it's left on and I'm not home knowing my luck Fuhhhh that!!!

Hope it works out ok for you mate, it always happens to decent people I swear!

Holiday in Fuerteventura with the “family”.

I do not want to be here. I’d rather be at work, doing manual labour or spending a week in prison.

I simply cannot think of anything worse. Hate is an understatement.

tips? I’m currently 4 days in and about 2 clicks away from paying for a flight home without them..
