id like to point out that that time was with all of the services running and background processes as well go xeno go!
I need more than 2.7v vDIMM to get any more, couldn't get the timings tighter either. Also the processor might do better with a bit more cooling than the stock cooler
Woah Thats pretty damn speedy!! I didn't think it would be long before you posted a mental score like that.
i finally ran super pi. stock amd althlon 64 3000+ 45 sec. not to bad. I will try overclocking it next It says 800mhz because cool and quiet is enabled. When superpi is running it goes up to its regular speed.
Can bigZ be the first to get a sub 30 second time? heres hoping, nice one m8 and gl with the tweaking!
Hi everybody, I'm new here as you can see Here's my old time with a 2400 Tbred. Not great, but ok. The mobo was a stock NF7-S 2.0, the RAM 2x256MB Geil Value 3200 (crap). Cooled with a Swifty MCX462-V, a slow 92mm and cold outside air. I'm sorry that the screenshot doesn't prove that it's a Tbred and not a Barton (stupid me), you have to take my word for it. Here's a screenie of a test i got 41s and you see that it's a Tbred.
Legacy Electronics PC3200 Registered ECC, was the stuff that they sent with the SK8N/FX-53 in the review box they sent me. I'm sure with the SK8V and some corsair/mushkin registered memory 31 or 32 seconds could be had with the stock cooler. Also only 2.7v on vDIMM was rather restrictive to my times Welcome to the Forums Endre, nice time you got there from a Tbred core, also great clocks
Finally some decent time outta this chip. Say 43 seconds for a 2.6C @ 3.25, DDR 400 (2.5-3-3-7) @ 400. How 43? Fast Board. Hmm. If my ram wasn't such a pain (no post at 3:2, won't load windows at over 416 mhz), i'd likely have hit the 3500 mark and 36s... oh well.
Whats this little tuning secret for win xp/2k? im very interested. your first post gets sent to thread subscribers btw. 'doc
ain't no rule forcing lol. I got a 5 sec difference, my friend got 1. Just set it to realtime priority. Hence you stop firewalls, AVs everything from hogging cyctles.
my benching OS (the one I got 33s on) has about 8 services running in total, if I shut any more down, it crashes. Task manager has 4 or 5 things going on when sitting on the desktop I kill the net, kill the sound, and kill just about everything I can kill in bios (I didn't for the FX-53 though unfortunately, just ran my nForce2 OS which seemed to work alright with the FX-53
