The acrilic for the back cover after molding, and preparing to finish up the sides

THe painting of the metalic base, the sides (Tha were painted on the inside , so we can get a miror finish ) and the front of the bay:

To place the acrilic on the bay there were 2 ideas , but othe firs on gave some bad result's due to a chemical reaction between the acrilic , the paint and a paste used to fill in the space, so i opted by polishing the front acrilic as the other part's and the result was much better then i expected :D

And what all we where wainting for , the final result !!

Very clean and very nicely done!

Where did you get the front to start with? What was it before? Also, how did you get the paint like that? It looked rough in one shot when you were still working on it sanding etc. and then it was the finished product. It looks great and in the pictures almost looks textured.

that is a great way to enclose an LCD, good job!

    edit
the microphone looking things are LEDs, the blue ones that light up the bottom

    Thanks you all

Well , now answering to all of you that have some doubt's:

The LCD , and part of the front, as i said it was taken apart from a Copy-machine along with some more things :D (Aka wires , board's etc) , then it was time cut off some part's of the machine , and to put paste and glue to get the thing together in the front panel as in the picture.

The cilinder led's were for in Car lighting , so as they looked realy cool in the box i adapted them to it, they were less then 5 € ans give a very good light !

The Reset button , well , honestly it's there , but maybe for no much time , i'm thinking on to put one off those anti-vandal butons (with ilumination or not still to see)

The paint i used was from AKI (name of the Store in Portugal) it's from MOTIP type Autolack Acril , it's a sorth of a metalized grey form there it apers to be a bit textured, it's the can from the picture above
As for the painting method , i give first one light coat of paint at about 20 cm never pushing too much the spray button, then wait about 5 min , and then again giving another coat, and so on till i get the desired efect , it takes about 3 ou 4 coats to be great on a smooth surface.

Any more doubt's just say :thumb:
