CRAP!!!!! my pIII mobo combo that was really cheap is gone, no more left, end of sale most ppl are saying about AMD does ne one know of an AMD mobo combo, that is eqvilent or better than a midle of the line PIII, and cheaper than $70
yea dude. i was just looking this up yesterday because i have a guy that wants to upgrade his old P3 (broke) to a new athalon board... http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-185-010&depa=0 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-156&depa=0 that should get you on the right track, how ever it does require DDR ram so you might want to go ahead and purchase new ram if you dont have DDR ram =) its gonna be about 60~70 (with free shipping to the US) and they have GREAT RMA service and all kinds of great stuff !! newegg.com rules
i had a pc pchip combo "pro1400+" basen on duron 750 Mhz (comimg sticked to the mobo) !! MINI ATX ands works very well in counter strike and certain aplications warcrafts runs too very low but runs enought to play may be the posted by up works well ... this is the lasted model.. http://www.pcchipsusa.com/prod-m810dlu.asp
u thiunk ill find one that take PC100 ram, cause i have that already, thats why iu was gonna get a PII board cause it takes pc100
thanks u vey much but, it is alwso processor only which means i gotta spend more money for a cooler, and then i gotta buy the right memory, it just adds up to more, right now my project is at $135.10, i can spend a max of $200, so unless the proccesor and mobo(if it uses pc100 memory, if not) even memory cost less than $65.90, im fudged (i could go like $2 over)
I can run both of those games at 30+ FPS on my CeleronII 466MHz (oc to 567MHz). I'm not sure why you have to tone down every feature to run Warcraft... I play mine in OpenGL800x600x16bit with full quality textures, and medium quality models.
