    Hurraaaaaaay he’s back again \o/ ;) with some serious moddin ;) :p

In my pc are some HDD’s pretty obvious but those things make some noise that’s because its passes its vibrations onto the case, so I needed an HDD suspension.

So I did my magic on some aluminium, measured a bit, drilled a bit, bended some, and presto Resetter got’s himself a cewl HDD rack.

I precent you, The HDD rack :naughty:.

    Bended corners \o/
    [IMG]

Then mix in some paint :D :p
    [IMG]

You take some eheim pump decouplers, and add them to your rack, and voilà you have yourself a nice anti vibration rack.

Real simpel but verry effective, i cant even hear those disks anymore.

    Sweeeeetaaaa :dremel:

    Time for that reservoir ;)
I welded the top on, and added some holes so i can use it as “window” in the case.

Then I added some UV colouring to check for any leaks, none \o/.
But I wont be using UV green, instead its going to be UV red.

And the final shot, the reservoir on my last casemod made of plexiglas, Project Plexicus iLLuminati.

I was playing around with some stuff I got from my sponsor, whilst I was testing my home made solid state relay, I accidentally pulled a lazer leds close to the reservoir, I was pleased with the effect, what kind of effect I hear you say, well just read on and find out.

The lazerleds itself has a chromed plastic cover, obviously chrome wont stick to my Plexiglas reservoir ;)
So I sanded the bottom of the lazerleds to the bare plastic so I could weld it ok with chloroform.

    Before.

After some sanding a nice and flat surface.

Just lay them out on the reservoir add some chloroform, and those b!tches wont come off for a loooooong time ;) :p
    [IMG]

Do note that I’m temporarily using UV green dye, when I’m finished it will contain UV red dye

And here is the effect, ill let the pictures do the talking for me :).

    Top of the water.

WOW!! That looks awsome! How did you get those bubbles? Are they always in a liquid cooled system? Or do you need somthing special for em?

As u might have noticed their are some holes around the reservoir, and their there for a reason, I mentioned before I wanted a water reservoir / window.
And it turned out to be just that, the end result is stunning, if u ask me.

Some measuring and predrilled some holes.

And after 10 minutes of handsaw action, I end up with this.

And some filing around the edges to smooth everything.

    Closeup corner.

And brushed, here without its protective layer of lacquer so away with those greasy fingers :p :p :naughty:

    And after the lacquer.

Don’t mind the colour, its the results of the lighting in my room :)
This picture nicely demonstrates the result of some find handwork and craftsmanship ;)

    Shibbyyyyy ;)

Ill mount the reservoir in a few hours, ill update u with it ASAP :D

Hope you enjoyed this part of the log, the case is coming together bit by bit.

:jawdrop: Gorgeous... absolutely gorgeous! (your mod's not bad either ;))

Am I right in thinking those thin lines in the water are just because the camera was set to a long exposure when you took the picture? Or is there something in your water? :worried:

    Question....

Hey, been a while since I posted, but d-a-m-n! Resetter, great job on this thing!

Where did you get these things? (the black standoff things on the screws)

[hijack] I am in major need of something just like it for my computer case. I need the mobo to standoff. [/hijack]

Anyways, keep it up. I love the lighting. :)
