Thanks for hosting. sent a 3.3Mb mail to you As some of you may have seen on the forum, i lost ALL my files while transfering data from hard disks. I did the rear grill but will put pics later. I don't want to write anything on the hard disks until i can solve the problem.
Edges are a little rocky, take your time man, use a ruler, mark off stuff with a pencil. http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=64093 thers my shuttle, same case you have. Whad kinda video card is that? And what 3rd party heatsink do you have? That looks sweet.
Its a Creative Ti4600. and Zalman new heatsink. Simon uploaded the pics Thanks Painted the case yesterday, the whole of yesterday. And this morning the the rubber trim came to rescue my shaky hands. Was also playing with the face plate and some tinting film (while waiting for paint to dry). My facia is no good anymore. I need a new one, anyone? Painting question: How do i spray an area with only 1 layer, and all around it several layers? Taping removes the paint MO VFD coming next week more updates soon.
You can try and use a tape specifically designed to mash off parts... that should work... I am using that technique in convergence and the 3M painting masking tape seemst owork well. That is what cinimedia pc used also and the results looked good there too...
The top part is untouched, but scratched, middle is sprayed black, and bottom is tinted. thanks for tape idea, what would help a lot. will go to hardware store sometimes this week to get some.
What paint did you use ? That black is exactly what im looking for ! And how many coats ? Did you prime it or anything ? Cheers
Plasti-kote Super enamel Satin Black and Simoniz clear lacquer cellulose. both from Halfords. No primer, but the laquer. I started around 3 and finished around 6(maybe 4?). waiting aprox 30-40mins for drying. then 3 coats for lacquer
Why don't you paint the parts that need multiple coats first and then paint the side that only needs one last, because I'm sure a side with multiple coats wouldn't mind another, and that's only if it even touches it. Great so far, but tell me what you think of my idea. -Rob
