That's a hard drive mounting bracket and goes pretty much unseen until I remove the main drive.

    Thanks.
I'm still infinitely pleased with this machine, especially since it's allowing me to sleep more comfortably at night.

Keep your eyes peeled for a new project which I should be starting in a few weeks. :D

Dude, I went back and read through your log again. I saw the pic of the chair mounted speakers. I was lookin around my room and was like hmm, I have a 5.1 system, and some old desk drawer rails, and some screws. :dremel:

So now I too have a cair mounted surround speaker setup. My front left, center, and front right speakers are on my desk in front of me, (center is on my monitor). My sub is under my desk, but my rear channels float right behind me about a foot outside my body. It sounds amazing!

Props to you for the idea! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Sweet! I actually updated my sound-chair by embedding the satellite speakers in the headrest. All I had to do was...
    1. Remove the leather cover
    2. Cut an "H" shape out of the foam in two spots
    3. Poke a small hole in the woven plastic back support
    4. Feed the wire trhough the back support fabric
    5. Wedge the speakers into the foam
    6. tie off the cord against the back support fabric to hold the speakers in place
    7. Cut a small round hole out of the leather cover and sew the edges
    8. Put the leather cover back on

Yeah, but I like this version because its easily detachable. Sounds like yours is nice though.

    UPDATE!!! Kinda...

I was slightly frsutrated with how the exterior mounts for the satellite speakers was hittin the wall. This prevented me from swivelling my chair around all the way. I month ago I inserted the speakers into the headrest itself, but didn't do it very gracefully. This weekend I redid the mounting inside the headrest, and in order for the speakers to be unmuffled by the leather, I replaced the two panels that they're hiding behind with black cotton. The end result is more subdued, and no longer hits the wall.

I just did a google image search for large images with the term "pcb". I picked out the most visually interesting ones then cropped out the parts I wanted to use and printed them on label paper.
