I just hope that it works as good as it looks... It is more or less the same design, MOA is just a little bigger, I have a link for it in post #11. And now for what I made today. Today I wooked on the back of the case, more og less completing the edge that surrounds the PCI/AGP cards. And I also made the holes that the motherboard will be screwed into. Not much but a little closer to being finished, witch I hope to be tomorrow. Now for some pictures... One edge didn't hold for the screws That's it next update will come tomorrow, see ya...
Today I finished the case, and the hardware will be installed later... But I just had to show the pictures to you all... I made the holes for the 80mm fan, the Bulgin power button and the switch that will control the katode, with my dremel (more or less "playing" cnc machine) The case is back together... This is the start of making the cover, I use 0,75mm Lexan/Polycarbonat witch is really easy to work with. I use a knife just to "break" the surface making it easier to bend with you hands. Then the Polycarbonat is wraped around the case, and this is why it is round. Then I just to a sissor and cut of the rest. Now just some pictures of the case... The case, without any hardware, wiehgt in a 3,4kg. Thats nice... I will post pictures with hardware installed as soon as I have them... Later...
ne don't do that i think it is a nice case and it will be even nicer with a little bit of light please do not build one of those ugly acrylic cases which have every color
I aggree, just use some subtle lights, dont blind everyone. Acyrlic cases are ruined with too many lights and this is just too cool to waste with too much lights. I like it alot tho. Keep it up
Damn thats one sweeeet case! I would put some white cathodes in there for lightning. And sleeve everything nice and white. It just looks like its crying for white! lol. Good luck! L
Eh, I'm for the soft lighting of a few well-sanded white LEDs. Will create a soft, diffuse glow. Or embed them in the plexi to make its edges glow. That's always a nice look, without being blindingly overdone!
Now i'm finished, but I think you will be disapointed, because I didn't make that much out of the hardware installation. But I think it came out quit nice. I can always make it better... Now for the picutes, I think they speak for them self. The case with hardware weight in at 10,4kg now... Plz. coment on the job...
Very clean and nice job!! What I do not really understand is why choose a zalman VNPS 7000/7700 AlCu. Why not the fully copper one, it matches your GPU coller much better and everything is visible from outside... But again, for the modding job:
I must say I'm not so thrilled about the cathodes. They take over the entire thing to me...all I see is two blue bars of light at first glance, and with a case that pretty, it almost feels wrong to have those be the focus. However, I do love the rest of the work you've done on the case!
