I henceforth declare this the year of the delayed/cancelled release.

Damn, you beat me too it - was just writing that! :)

I wasn't waiting for any of these games and thus I will just leave this troll post for you and return to blissful ignorance.

I'd laugh if DNF did release before GT5. But wishful thinking :) As for Splinter Cell, I knew it was going to be delayed.....

That might be going a little too far.

They're probably being delayed for financial reasons - perhaps Ubi sees it's FY2010/11 lineup as being weak, so they're pushing a couple of their bigger releases to bolster next year's revenue; or, alternatively, they see those as risky titles and don't want them to adversely affect this financial year's results.

Either way, I think it's more than likely to be a financial/business decision rather than anything to do with the development.

What do you mean by big new IP?

Bit of a shame Splinter Cell is delayed again :( And RUSE looked interesting, but I probably wouldn't have bought it.

So, who's taking the bets for the next game delayed from the "Games to Watch in 2010" article?

That was kind of expected and funny as hell xD

I'm willing to put pressure on BT staff to create 2 new awards for 2010 - The Most Delayed Game of The Year and the Publisher With More Delays 2010 Award

    I mean, it's becoming a trend

2010 is the year that I am back in the Star Trek Universe. Star Trek Online is out, I don't need another game this year.
