Hardware BitFenix Colossus case arrives mid-Sept.

New start up BitFenix will have its first case in stores in a months time.

 

Can't say it's the prettiest thing I've laid eyes on but I'll wait to hear a bit about it's performance post release.

 

I think it looks promising - it's a fairly bold and innovative design and I hope BitFenix do well.

 

Forget this ugliness. Give me Survivor already!

Definitely a better-looking case than some of the recent "industrial chic" we've seen recently.

I'd like to see a benchtest, but it looks right purty.

Only one intake fan? Cant see this keeping up with the big boys.

 

BitFenix say it's not meant to be a wind tunnel though, like said above it's "industrial chic", but, aimed at "gamers". I don't quite know how that works.

 

Well since gamers hardware is usually fairly hi-spec i think it might need a few more fans thrown in.
Humm ill reserve my judjement untill i see a review.

Located at the very top of the chassis is the BitFenix S3™ - a combination storage and security system in one. With S3, users can place their mobile phone, hard disk, USB drives, or other valuables in S3 and easily lock them away for safe keeping. S3 also deters would-be thieves from stealing your peripherals like mice, keyboards, and headsets while you are away from your desk. Inside S3, users will find two SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports ready to connect to an ever-growing ecosystem of USB 3.0 devices.

Designed for the PC enthusiast, Colossus keeps you in complete control. Aside from the light controls, Colossus also features a PWM fan controller that grants users more precise control over their fan speeds without the need for proprietary fans. Colossus is the first chassis to feature both internal and external cable management. I should think between them that a 230mm & a 140mm should be able to shift a fair amount of air...

 

I mean the space for a fan, not that there's an actual fan there at the moment, obviously...

 

I was taliking as standard.
Even the 230mm fan wont push too much with the hdd's and the door blocking air flow.

 

i love the looks of this. Its very Dead Space.

Long as they can keep the quality up, and the price low(ish) i cant see this failing.
