News Nvidia ends FY2017 with impressive growth

    There has to be competition, though. And so far I have not seen any.

    Make hay while the sun shines, when you're at the top of your game and the competition is nowhere to be seen, what I like is that Nvidia are still probing new market opportunities with mixed success outside of it's core business.

    The distinct absence of comepting technologies at the high end secures a higher margin at the cost of the consumer.

    I would of liked to see Nvidia buy VIA (that was?) and enter the x86 market, right now ARM is their future and I am not certain how an business plan in an open (albeit very good) technology allows you to be more than just an alternative supplier of said generic technology (welding an IGPU onto it is not going to differentiate forever).
