    Of course it will be the end user who ends up paying this tax via increased prices.

    Good bye any attempt to get a decent GPU for your money - between the mining demand, RAM price hike, lack of competition and this, we'll be paying £300+ for a GTX 1050 soon...

    Greetings!

    Makes no sense that a mid-class worker or a local store pays more percent-wise in taxes than one of those mostly-software+services companies.

    I'd much rather the end user pays more via increased prices than everyone having to pay more taxes in order to make up the shortfall, if i don't use <insert company name here> products then it's not exactly fair to take more money from me just so they can offer a cheaper product.

    As a stopgap to fixing taxation systems to close the existing loopholes it's not a bad idea, but it'd need one hell of a sunset clause to prevent it getting stuck as a business-as-usual tax.
