    Sounds like both AMD and Intel are trying to avoid patches to shift the blame of performance loss. Especially the way Intel are doing it.

    The one who blinks first will be sh*t on by the public for poor performance, so not surprising at all.
    But I don't think either one can outlast the consequences from the speculative execution vulnerabilities and both will eventually do the right thing.
