    That's rather a surprise, CCP have always been fiercely independent. Either Pearl Abyss have earnt truly obscene amounts of money from Grinding For Loot With Minimal Clothing Online in order to make an offer they couldn't refuse, or CCP were in a serious hole and in dire need of funding.

    But the guys who own the company are all in their fourties and fifties now, staying fiercely independant maybe doesn't have the same draw it did as a twenty something, especially when the rumoured amount is $425million.
