could i ask how did you do it? i just recently received a gift from my aunt a viewsonic va720 lcd with a broken backlight. lcd screen goes blank after 3 seconds. but you could see the screen using a flashlight. i would like to save it just like what you did to your grandpa's. please help me. where did you bought the your backlight? i'm from the philippines. hope you will give a little of your time. thank you so much for giving me the inspiration and hope in repairing my new lcd monitor.
