Yes, Dell lists Win 7 drivers for that model. Classic Shell (http://www.classicshell.net/) will make it more familiar to him until you can install 7 on it too.

The third aerial is to handle more bandwidth I believe (300mbit vs 450). As long as the card supports 5GHz then you can use the 5GHz band.

The Intel controller does the 2x USB 3.0 headers on the board for the front panel, all the USB 3.0 ports on the back are controlled by the ASMedia controller unfortunately.
