Surely you wouldn't have to do all the upates though, just a basic fresh install, 10 minutes or so, from a USB stick then install 10, pain in the ass I know but not a major inconvenience.

Your virtual memory settings, mines set to 8gb as I have 8gb of ram. It therefore takes up 8gb of space on my drive, if I set it to no paging file or put it on another drive I get that 8gb of space...
