As Rollo said 4 sticks stresses the memory controller on the chip more, so max overclock could be lower. IMO 2 x 8GB gives you best of both worlds as well as leaving room for future expansion.

To be fair i have enjoyed cards from both camps over the years. The main obstacle to graphics card performance increasing isn't a die shrink, these days it's getting it passed the missus.

Ive built one of these for a friend. They aren't bad for web browsing and a bit of word. Gaming wise they are poor. Due to the single channel memory and weak igp. Hope that helps.

I thought the consensus was never to use Furmark these days? I used to fold back in the 8800GT days and that is a great program to test stability. Game stable overclocks and Folding stable overclocks...
