Why not use the carbon vinyl on the side to hide the tabs behind it. Like an edge all around the sidepanel with a 'window' in the middle.

The sleeving looks awesome btw :)

Nicely done, the one downside of the CNC way is the edges of the holes aren't anodized anymore, with the mesh it was less visible because it was painted. Still very nice though :)
